Privacy
What we know, and what we don’t.
- No account. No name, no email address, no phone number.
- Only your date. Our server keeps your date and random device IDs. No ads, no tracking across other apps. Anonymous usage numbers help us improve the app.
- Your photo stays home. It never leaves the phone you pick it on.
- Leave, and it’s gone. Leaving the space removes your phone from our server. When the last of you leaves, the space is deleted with your date, codes and link.

Good to know.
Do we both need an iPhone?
Yes. Lovers Countdown is only available for iPhone at the moment, and both of you need the app.
When does my partner see a new date?
If the app is open on their phone, within a few seconds. Otherwise the next time they open it, and from then on their widget shows the new date too.
Can I send the countdown on WhatsApp?
Yes. Tap Share on the countdown and it goes into your chat as a picture, on WhatsApp, iMessage or any other app. In the settings there is also a link to a web page where the time keeps running.
Does my partner see my photo?
No. Each of you picks a photo for your own phone. It is never uploaded.
The code has expired.
A code works for 7 days. Tap “New code” on the countdown and send the new one.
What does it cost?
The countdown and the widgets are free. Plus is $14.99 a year or $29.99 once, and it covers both of you. The App Store shows the price for your country.
How do I cancel the yearly plan?
In the settings of your Apple Account, under Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the current year ends.
How do we delete everything?
In the settings, tap Leave space. Your phone is removed from our server right away. When the last of you leaves, the space is deleted with your date, codes and share link.
What happens when the day comes?
The countdown tells you it’s time. Enjoy it. Afterwards, set your next date.
